Welcome to the Professional Experience Year (PEY) Internship Program website.
In existence since 1979, the PEY program is the oldest and largest paid internship program in Canada. Open to all eligible undergraduate students at the University of Toronto, the program focuses on student development in order to effectively prepare them for their internships via workshops and one-on-one counselling sessions.
Spanning a duration of 12-16 months, this program allows employers to reap a return on investment by hiring talented and driven University of Toronto students. As for the participating students, they gain industry experience, and develop an awareness of themselves, their role in the workplace, and the tools to manage and chart their career objectives.
